NCCI’s Bill Donnell Continues to be a Passionate Advocate of the Kids’ Chance Mission
Bill Donnell, president and chief executive officer of NCCI (National Council on Compensation Insurance) and founding board member of Kids’ Chance of Florida (KCFL), is the recipient of the 2022 Robert M. Clyatt Distinguished Service Award.
Named for Kids’ Chance founder Bob Clyatt, the award embodies his passion for helping children impacted by a parent’s workers’ compensation injury or death obtain the funds needed to advance their education. The award is presented annually and recognizes a member of the national Kids’ Chance community who has gone above and beyond in service of what matters most: the kids.
Bill has been actively involved in Kids’ Chance of Florida (KCFL) since its incorporation in 2015 while also serving as a passionate bridge between Kids’ Chance and the workers’ compensation industry, a sector he has decades of experience with—and one of critical importance to Kids’ Chance.
“Bill Donnell is a dedicated steward of the Kids’ Chance mission,” said Ken Martino, President of Kids’ Chance of America. “His work and contributions boost his home state of Florida and his insights into, and relationships within, the worker’s comp industry are invaluable in our efforts to bring Bob Clyatt’s vision to life nationally.”
NCCI is the nation’s most experienced provider of workers compensation insights, tools, and services. Under Bill’s leadership, the firm serves nearly 40 state governments and more than 900 insurance carriers.
The mission of NCCI directly aligns with that of Kids’ Chance, with KCFL serving as a focus of the NCCI Cares giving program. NCCI holds an annual golf tournament in support of Kids’ Chance of America, provides financial support to the program, and has several team members who serve on the KCFL Board of Directors.
“Working with Bill over the years to further deepen our relationship with the workers’ comp industry has been as rewarding as it has been fruitful,” shared Vicki Burkhart, Executive Director of Kids’ Chance of America. “Bill has been a valuable partner on the national level while also shining as a key player for his state through community engagement and fundraising.”
The award will be presented at the Kids’ Chance National Conference taking place from April 28-30, 2022, in Charlotte, NC. The conference will be hosted by Kids’ Chance of North Carolina.
