KCOMI Scholarship Recipients from left to right: Joe McDonnell, Gary Bell, Paige Canales, Brittany Richardville, and Alexis Bourque[/caption]Kids’ Chance of Michigan is proud to announce it has awarded 3 additional scholarships. This brings their total number of scholarships awarded to 8 in their 1 ½ years of existence. In total, KCOMI will award $40,000.00 for the 2014-2015 academic year.Their 8 kids span the breath and width of Michigan from Wayne State University in Detroit to Northern Michigan in Marquette in the Upper Peninsula, and all parts in between.Thanks to the hard work of their fund raising committee, scholarship funds were raised in a variety of fun events, including a cruise aboard a private yacht on the Detroit River and a very successful first golf outing where they were honored to have Kevin Turner in attendance.They also held their First Annual KCOMI Family Reunion at the Detroit Zoo.For more information on Kids' Chance of Michigan, please visit their website at www.kidschanceofmi.org.
