Longtime Kids’ Chance leader, Jennifer Wolf, takes the helm of our national community
Kids’ Chance of America has been fortunate to count amongst its community a number of talented, committed, and generous leaders. Among those leaders is Jennifer Wolf, who will build on her tenure as a national board member by stepping into the president’s role.
“Kids’ Chance is a special community united under a common purpose,” shared Jennifer. “I am excited to serve this community as we build the capacity to fund more recipients and support more families.”
With more than twenty years of experience, Jennifer is the President and CEO of the Minnesota Workers’ Compensation Insurers Association (MWCIA). MWCIA’s work supports safe and healthy work in Minnesota, achieved through the development of a sustainable workers' compensation system.
As a fixture of the workers’ compensation community, she has authored numerous articles, delivered compelling presentations, and hosted a podcast to explore various dimensions of workers' compensation, including care delivery, labor force dynamics, and evolving insurance trends.
Prior to her role at MWCIA, Jennifer served as the Executive Director of the International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions (IAIABC). As part of leading this organization, she facilitated education and information sharing, enabling stakeholders to collectively address issues pertaining to harm reduction and recovery from occupational injuries and illnesses.
“It has been both my pleasure and my delight to work with Jennifer in different capacities over the years,” said Dana Genheimer, the outgoing president of Kids’ Chance of America. “I have total confidence in her vision for Kids’ Chance and her ability to advance our mission.”
Most recently, Jennifer has spearheaded the Planning for the Future task force, which focuses on expanding the pipeline of future scholarship applicants. The Planning for the Future initiative was created to ensure we could reach the kids who were not yet old enough to apply for a scholarship, stay in contact with them, and then connect them to the right state when the time to apply for a scholarship arrived.
Jennifer recognizes the growth in impact Kids’ Chance faces to serve the more than 1,300 kids now in the pipeline.
“We will need to be able to both fund scholarships and expand each state’s ability to give those scholarships,” she said. “I believe Kids’ Chance of America, in partnership with our states, can create a brighter future for all those whose lives have been impacted by an injury at work.”
