What an exciting time for Kids’ Chance of America! We have achieved so much together over the past several years. Our ever-growing number of talented volunteers, partners, board members – and of course our “Kids”- are a community dedicated to helping students affected by a workplace injury pursue their educational goals. Thank you for being an integral part of this success, and for your continued support as we navigate the future of Kids’ Chance.
“I am currently a sophomore majoring in Broadcast Journalism. I’ve written an article for the student magazine Eternal Flame and I currently run a special show on the student radio station KWTS The One 91.1. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with KWTS as a DJ, and being handed the second longest special show has been my biggest honor. I’ve been charting music for the show and it’s all a dream come true!
I couldn’t believe I was able to receive the Kids’ Chance scholarship. It restored hope in my heart and made me wonder how proud my dad would’ve been.
After graduation, I plan on finding a job either with a local news publication to promote my writing or a local radio station to enhance my broadcasting skills. I hope either gets me working for Sirius XM or a popular music magazine.
With this scholarship, I feel confident that I can accomplish what I set out to do!”
