The Faces of Kids’ Chance – Savannah S. and KCPA Kids
“My name is Savannah, and I just finished my sophomore year at the University of Pittsburgh in Johnstown.
Back in 2011, my dad was working as a service technician in Florida. He was actually in a freak accident and he didn’t make it. That’s been hard on our family. I wasn’t going to have the opportunity to get loans and I was really scared for a little bit that I wouldn’t get to go to school.
I heard about Kids’ Chance through a family friend who knew about my situation and knew there was a scholarship out there for children of injured workers.
Aside from the grief, financially, losing my dad was a burden on our family, but thankfully the Kids’ Chance scholarship has helped with that.”
Our Faces of Kids’ Chance community continues to grow. Please encourage any Kids’ Chance scholarship recipient to share their story through our online form. We can’t wait to meet them.
Dear Friends,
Those of you who attended the annual meeting in Little Rock and those of you from Arkansas know that shortly before the annual meeting, Kids’ Chance lost a long-time, loyal supporter when Lynn Forbush succumbed to cancer. In memory of Lynn, a scholarship fund was established. Thanks to Kids’ Chance of Pennsylvania and Doug McCoy, we have raised $8,500.00 toward the scholarship. I am sending my gift today, and encourage others to join me. We hope to reach $10,000 in scholarship funds given in Lynn’s memory by the end of 2016. Donations can be sent directly to

Fondly,
