Kids’ Chance of America is proud to announce Harvard MedTech as its newest corporate partner
Harvard MedTech, the Nevada-based digital health company, is committed to making the world a better place by reducing human suffering. Its Vx® Therapy program is a disruptive approach that uses virtual reality, behavioral coaching, and artificial intelligence to promote permanent resiliency in patients — without drugs or unnecessary surgery.
“Harvard MedTech is dedicated to helping people deal with the challenges associated with experiencing trauma,” says Chris Watson, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Harvard MedTech. “Essentially, Kids’ Chance does the exact same thing but with a focus on the children of injured workers.”
For more than three decades, Kids’ Chance of America (KCOA) has made it its mission to provide educational opportunities and scholarships to children of workers injured on the job. Since 1988, Kids’ Chance has awarded over 9,300 scholarships totaling over $33.2 million dollars.
But where would the Kids’ Chance community be without partners like Harvard MedTech? The generous donations and visibility they bring to the cause have been instrumental in raising more money for more kids.
“We would not be where we are today without our partners,” says Dana Genheimer, President of KCOA. “We are so fortunate to have Harvard MedTech join our community. Their mission to positively impact the lives of others could not be more aligned with our own.”
The partnership is based on a foundation of mutual respect and admiration, says Watson, who also sits on the KCOA Board of Directors.
“We have had the opportunity to participate in a number of Kids’ Chance events,” he says. “After hearing directly from kids how their lives have been impacted through the scholarships and support of Kids’ Chance, it inspired us to look for opportunities to participate in a more meaningful way. Hopefully, Harvard MedTech can play a role in bringing greater awareness to Kids’ Chance so that we are able to provide more scholarships to more kids.”
Harvard MedTech is joining the cause at an exciting time. Kids’ Chance recently expanded its presence to reach all 50 states and exceeded all fundraising expectations this past year — surpassing $1 million dollars in operating revenue. It also launched a new strategic plan to propel the organization forward for 2022-2025.
The goals of the plan focus on expanding programs and services to meet the needs of each state, strengthening our leadership, finding the kids, as well as exploring other ways we can positively impact the students and their families.
“I’ve seen firsthand by awarding scholarships and talking to the kids we support just how much impact our work makes on their lives and the lives of their families,” Genheimer says. “I’ve also seen what an amazing national community we have at Kids’ Chance. We do what we do because we give kids a chance at a better future, and that commitment brings out the best in our industry — and beyond.”
