Bob Clyatt wins for Philanthropy & Bob Wilson wins for Industry Leader
Bob Clyatt, founder of Kids’ Chance of Georgia – and Kids’ Chance at large – won a 2019 Comp Laude® Award. He was recognized for his philanthropic work in the industry, namely for his passion for and dedication to Kids’ Chance.
"I can’t think of anyone who has positively impacted the workers’ compensation industry narrative more than Bob Clyatt. As the founder of the Kids’ Chance movement, which now reaches the families of injured workers in 47 states, Bob created an avenue for the industry to give back to the injured workers it serves. And he did it by connecting all aspects of the workers’ compensation community, bridging defense and plaintiff attorneys, employers and labor, carriers and regulators, state agencies and courts, medical and claim service providers, and more," said Kevin Turner, President of Kids' Chance of America and CEO of Paradigm Catastrophic Care Management.
Kevin met Bob over a decade ago. “I was struck by his charisma, warmth and laser-focused vision to reach more kids impacted by a parent’s workplace injury or death. Those qualities have remained and are instilled in the Kids’ Chance community throughout the country. I am proud to know Bob. We can all be inspired by his actions and know he is truly deserving of this prestigious award."
Bob Clyatt was not the only member of the Kids’ Chance community to win a Comp Laude® Award. Bob Wilson, President & CEO of workscompensation.com and President of Kids’ Chance of Florida, also won an Industry Leader award.
“To see Bob Wilson get recognized simply confirms what we at Kids’ Chance already know,” said Vicki Burkhart, Kids’ Chance of America Executive Director. “Bob has been involved with Kids’ Chance since the early days, always looking for opportunities to utilize his position as an industry leader to help Kids’ Chance and our mission. He also has a positive and energetic spirit that brings out smiles in whatever room he’s in. We are thrilled and grateful to count him as a leader in our community as well.”
The mission of Comp Laude® is to change the narrative of workers’ compensation to a more positive dialogue and bring all stakeholders to the table to participate in that conversation. To learn more, please visit their website.
