Kids' Chance of Arkansas Scholarship Fund Kids’ Chance of Arkansas, Inc., shares an important connection with the Arkansas Workers’ Compensation Commission (AWCC), although it is independent of the AWCC. Children of employees who died as a result of a job-related accident or children of employees who were permanently and totally disabled in a compensable accident under the state workers’ compensation laws are eligible to apply for a scholarship awarded through Kids’ Chance. Kids’ Chance scholarships help these students continue their education. The first scholarships were awarded July 15, 2002, at an AWCC-hosted convention in Little Rock.
